Pay: £14.50 per hour (£12.94 basic + £1.56 holiday pay)
Mileage: 45p per mile
Hours: 35 paid hours per week
Contract: Temporary to Permanent

About the role
Comity Recruitment is recruiting a Mobile Parking Operative / Parking Enforcement Officer to patrol car parks across Edinburgh and surrounding areas. This is a customer-facing role requiring good communication skills, professionalism and reliability.
No experience necessary – full training provided.
Working hours
- Wednesday: 09:00–17:00
- Thursday: 09:00–17:00
- Friday: 09:00–17:00
- Saturday: 09:00–17:00
- Sunday: 09:00–17:00
Each shift includes a one-hour unpaid break, giving 40 scheduled hours and 35 paid hours per week. Hours may vary depending on operational requirements.
Key duties
- Patrol designated car parks using your own vehicle.
- Monitor parking compliance and issue Parking Charge Notices (PCNs).
- Use handheld enforcement equipment.
- Provide professional customer service and report site issues.
Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle.
- Class 1 business-use motor insurance, or willingness to obtain it.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable, confident and able to work independently.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
