Job Title: Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Officer
Location: South East London
Contract Type: Full-Time | Ongoing Contract
Pay Rate: £25 –  £28.02 (Rolled-up PAYE)
Start Date: ASAP, subject to vetting

About the Role:
Comity Recruitment is seeking experienced ASB Officers to support community safety efforts for one of it’s client based in London. This is a proactive, field-based role where you will be responsible for investigating anti-social behaviour, resolving statutory nuisance complaints, and helping to maintain public safety across the borough.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to and investigate complaints related to anti-social behaviour, community safety, and environmental nuisance.

  • Take appropriate enforcement or regulatory action under relevant legislation and council protocols.

  • Provide timely, professional responses to members of the public and elected representatives.

  • Identify hotspots and implement preventative and enforcement strategies in collaboration with partner agencies.

  • Facilitate partnership working with police, housing services, and voluntary sector organisations.

  • Attend community meetings, maintain case files, and prepare evidence for legal action where necessary.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of ASB legislation, community safety practices, and statutory nuisance procedures.

  • Experience in case management and enforcement within a public or community-facing role.

  • Awareness and practical understanding of RIPA, PACE, and CPIA.

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.

  • Ability to work independently across the borough and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Ex-Armed Forces or law enforcement experience is highly desirable.

  • Driving licence preferred.

Compliance Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS check (must be current or obtainable).

  • Police vetting (e.g., NPPV Level 1) may be required.

  • Two employment references covering at least the past three years.
